TUESDAY, JANUARY 28TH MEETING

Kathy is doing Christmas gift tags. Bring card stock (gift tag size) and any decorative items you might want to add. Kathy is going to have quite a bit to choose from as well. Also bring normal supplies.

TUESDAY, JANUARY 14TH MEETING

At our Jan 14th mtg, Jan Daggett will be doing three Valentine cards.  The charge is $10 per person.

Please bring tweezers, scissors and tape runner.

Also want to remind you that your yearly dues, $10, are due in January.

January 14th Meeting

Arangements have been made for Jan Daggett to do our first meeting in January (14th).

She will be doing 3 Valentines at a cost of $10 per participant.

Nancy Wick Update

First, I want to tell you about my visit with Nancy yesterday.  Carrie went with me.  When we got there we found Nancy sitting outside in her wheelchair with Wick and Audrey.  What a blessing to see her more upright.  She even held her head up and moved it around once.  I thought she seemed improved from Monday.  More in control of her emotions and fears.  We stayed with her while Wick and Audrey left to take care of Biscuit and run some errands.  They were gone about 3-1/2 hours.  She really didn't get worried and anxious until they'd been gone about 2-1/2 to 3 hours.  So that was much better than on Monday.  I kept telling her how much better she was doing. 

Anyway, now to my request.  Wick told me that they had cleaned out a lot of her art supplies and found several frames from Michaels still in the packaging.  He returned them but without a receipt they only gave him store credit.  So he has a gift card for over $180.  He would like to turn it into cash.  Could you mention this at Sea Breeze on Tuesday night to see if anyone would like to help them by buying it from Wick?  He said he would take $150 for it.  I don't buy much from Michael's but I know others do.  That's a large amount so maybe a few would be willing to go together to buy it from Wick and plan a group shopping trip.  I told Wick I would try to find someone to buy it.  But I won't be there on Tuesday night so I thought maybe you wouldn't mind asking everyone about it.

Christmas Party - December 10th

Tuesday, December 10th is our annual Christmas Party at Seabreeze Rec Center at 6:30 PM.

We are having a Pot Luck Dinner.  Following is a list, as a gentle reminder, of what you signed up to bring to our party:

Casseroles:  Florence, Joan, Carrie, Linda and Kathy
Salads:  Shirley and Jan
Desserts:  Mary, Janet and Joyce
Soda:  Suzanne
Paper products:  Geri
We will also be working on a couple of fun projects:
Wendy Kool sent a package with all the items you need to put together a beautiful Christmas card.  
Shirley is putting together a small project -- watch the blog for what you need to bring.
Be sure you have all the usual items, tape, bone folder, ruler etc etc
FYI - Kathy is working on a Christmas project that she wants to present at the second meeting in January.  This will give us a head start for next Christmas so don't pack away all your Christmas items until after that meeting.

December 10th Christmas Party and a small project

In addition to our Christmas party on December 10th we will be doing a small project. 

Origami folded box.

 

Supplies:  1 piece 12x12”  designer paper ( doubled sided not necessary)

                 1 piece 11 3/4 x 11 3/4” designer paper

  Actually any size square will do, making sure the second piece is 1/4” smaller.  Also, if using 12 x 12, make sure it is square.  If not adjust accordingly and make the second piece 1/4” smaller.

 Please also bring the following:

Ruler
Pencil
Scissors
Bone Folder
Paper Trimmer

Nov 12 meeting

will be Operation Write Home.  We need Valentine and Hero Cards.  There will not be a second mtg in Nov because of Thanksgiving.

Dec 10 Meeting
Will be our Christmas Party.  If you are interested in coming and have not signed up for food, please contact Geri Beutel  751-5806 or Joyce Stewart 751-0694.  This will be our only mtg in December.
