Stamping Around the Villages

Hi Everyone!

I have put together half a dozen 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 (A2) cards using embossing folders for the stamping class Tuesday, February 28th, 6:30 at Seabreeze. My plan is to set up stations for you to move through with a couple of options for you to pick from at each station. You will not have time to make every card, but you will get a couple of ideas for each main embossing folder. I will bring the embossing folders, punches, dies, stamps and inks. I plan to cut and punch the small things and stamp the greetings. You will be embossing, layering, adhering, and embellishing.

You will need to bring 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock in the following solid colors: white--4 sheets plus scraps,
black--2 sheets plus scraps
2 sheets spring colors such as green, pink, lavender, light blue, or yellow;
*silver-1/4 of sheet,
*white shimmer--half sheet.
*If you don't have silver or shimmer, don't make a special trip to the store as I have two pads of colored shimmer paper that we can make work.  I also have the beige paper for the one Easter card for everyone.

Bring a little bling--tiny rhinestones and pearls if you have them--I will have extras if you don't. Also narrow white ribbon if you have it.

Bring your basic tools and adhesives. Since we are embossing, you will need the tear tape or crafty power tape to adhere that. We will also use pop dots or dimensionals.

If you have a cuttlebug or small sizzex, please bring it as more machines will be helpful.

Looking forward fun with embossing folders.

Sad News From Up North

Stamping Around the Villages

Hi ladies,
Up until about three weeks ago we were planning for our trip south and I was setting aside items to bring along for card class. Then life took a nasty turn and when I went for my medical
Appointment and regular blood work, results  indicated a problem  that was acted upon immediately.  ECG, ultrasound, CT scan, and finally biopsy to find out this week that I have pancreatic cancer that has spread and is inoperable.  Prognosis is not good and it is a fast multiplying variety.  There is a fairly new chemo treatment being used and studied in the Netherlands that is available at our cancer center but has many potential side effects and only slows things down to add another 5 months or so to survival. At this time there is no cure
So we have big decisions to make when we meet with oncologist next week.

So regretfully our days of travel are done.  I have so enjoyed my time with all the ladies and ask that you include me in your prayers

Hugs to all
Wendy
