New Year New Changes

Happy New Year everyone! I hope that you have fully recovered from the Holiday Season and all of the hustle and bustle that the holiday season brings upon us. We are gearing up for a fun and exciting new year in the Stamping Around the Village Club. We wanted to tell you about some of the exciting new changes in store for 2019.
First, Geri Beutel will be stepping down as Club President and we thank Geri for her time, dedication, and commitment to the club. Geri will continue to keep our website and blog up to date with the club’s current projects and upcoming events.
Jean Rowell, will be taking over the leadership and President role within the club. I am so excited about my new role and look forward to making it the best club ever. Lots of new & inspiring projects are in store.
Our additional Board Members: include myself & Geri along with these individuals:
Kathy Klein, will continue on as our Treasurer. Kathy maintains the financial records for the club.
Katie Robertson will continue on as our Club’s Librarian. Katie, ensures that our equipment remains in good working order and that our club’s library is kept up to date. In past years the club has allowed items to be checked out however, we are discontinuing this as of now. Why you ask? Well, Some items that were checked out were not returned to the club by its member. We can and will revisit this in the future, but for now, we are not permitting any items to be signed out.
Shirley will continue on our board as an adviser and special events coordinator.
Second, we’ve discussed whether or not to implement annual dues for the club. After much discussion, we are implementing $5.00 annual dues for the club. Beginning in Feb 1st, we will be asking all members to pay an annual fee of $5.00 . This fee will help to offset some of the expenses that the club will incur throughout the year. All dues must be paid by end of February 2019.
Lastly, we are looking for volunteers to assist us in several ways:
Demonstrators: we would like 2-3 people to demonstrate a new technique, tool, etc. during our monthly meetings.
Workshops: We would like 2 – 3 people to design and prepare kits for card classes once a month. You can charge a fee to cover the cost of materials only. We recommend $1.00-2.00 fee.
WE would love to update our current club’s roster, so you will be asked to complete a form at our next meeting and your dues will be collected.
We need your help in making Stamping Around the Villages the club that every crafter will want to join. So please invite your friends and neighbors to our next meeting to see what all the buzz is about. Share the news, share the fun, and inspiration. IF you are able to pick up a fellow club members and drive them to a meeting, please let us know.
