Stamping Around the Villages
I will be showing everyone how to create 5 different styles of gift card holders without having to use a die. I made all of mine in a Christmas theme but they could be used for any occasion birthday, graduation, just because, or Anniversary. I need everyone to bring their basic kit, paper trimmer, score board, wet adhesive, & pop dots, to class. Paper wise, I would recommend the following Cardstock solid at least 5 sheets one for each gift card base; Patterned Paper of your choice, it’s suggested that one might be a solid pattern that coordinates with the pattern you chose, at least 4-5 sheets. The idea is for you to be able to mix and match the papers. We will be trying to make all 5 gift cards at the meeting. I think that we can complete the bases with some simple layering of the pattern paper but we can finish up embellishing them later on, perhaps at home. There are some cutting instructions for you aka homework.I would paper- clip all the pieces for the gift cards together. In other words, all the pieces for gift card 1 clipped together, then all the pieces for gift card 2 clipped together and so on. Here we go: Gift card 1 - Trifold: Base Cardstock (solid color) 4”x 8”; score on long side at 2” & 5 1/2” Belly band solid Cardstock 1”x8”; score at 1 3/4” & 5 1/4” Patterned paper 1 of each - 3 3/4x2 1/4”; 3 3/4”x1 1/4”; 3 3/4”x3 1/4” Gift card 2 - Trifold with Pop up: Base solid color Cardstock 4”x10”; Score at 1 1/4”, 3 3/4”, 5 3/4” & 7 3/4” Pattern Paper: 2 of 2” x 3 3/4”; 1 of each 1 x 3 3/4”; 1 of 3 3/4”x 2 1/4” Gift card 3 - Pocket Tag Base solid color 3 1/4”x 8 1/2”; score at 3 1/2” Tag solid color 4 3/4” x 2 3/4” Patterned Paper 1 of each, 3” x 3 1/4”, 1 3/4”x 3”, 3“x 4 3/4” Gift card 4 - Pop up Present Base solid Cardstock 4”x11”; score at long side 2 1/4”& 7 1/2”; on short side score at 1/2” on both sides. Insert solid Cardstock 2 3/4”x5 1/8”; score at 1/2” Patterned Paper:3” x 2 1/4”, 2 3/4” x 3 1/4” Gift card 5 - Pull apart Present Base solid color Cardstock 5” x 4 3/4”; score on 5” side at 2 1/2”. Top piece solid Cardstock 5 1/4”x3 “; score on 3” side at 1 1/2”. Patterned Paper 5”x1 1/4”, 4 1/2”x 2 1/4”. That’s a lot of homework! I’m sorry.... but if you can do this before we meet this week, I think we can get them all in. Thanks, Jean
