For this program Kathy is doing Christmas tags. You will need assorted Christmas color papers, including blue and white cut into 2x2 and 2x4 pieces, a cutting tool, colored markers or pencils and your usual tools.

Bring some munchies for a small party to help celebrate the holidays.

We will be doing another shaker card.

You will need to bring:

paper for the card, A2 size, patterned or solid, coordinating or contrasting

color and white;

ribbon string and bling.

I will bring sequins for the shaker and the material for the shaker.

There will be a $1 charge.

Card stock for the cards, any color,

Printed card stock to match,

White card stock for the front of cards, and yellow for the sun,

Any embellishments you desire,

We will be making a flower and an umbrella shaker cards.

You will need to bring:

5 ½ x 4 ¼ card any color,

Front piece of white plainly embossed (strips or dots),

Colored card stock for die cuts (flowers, leaves, umbrella, sun and clouds),

Jewels, sequins and string or ribbon to match card color,

And your usual tools.

Our next meeting at Seabreeze is Tuesday May 8 at 6:30.

We will be stamping tiles to create coasters.

All you need to bring is liquid glue and a large stamp (the tile measures 4”x4”).

I will bring the tiles, stamp ink, cork sheet (for the bottom of the coaster) and stamp cleaner. I will also bring a couple of stamps.

Our next meeting at Seabreeze is Tuesday April 10 at 6:30.

Janet Fowler has something for us that is a bit different than what we are use to.

Did you know that  that every month of the year approximately 21 thousand women are diagnosed with breast cancer, and the average age at the time of this diagnosis is 62? We all know at least one friend, family member , or maybe even us, affected by this disease.  Lets use our talents and abilities to brighten the day of a woman going through this crisis.Our 4/10 meeting will focus on  helping the efforts of GirlsLoveMail!! This is a charity that collects letters and cards of encouragement for women newly diagnosed and distributes them to clinics, cancer centers ad hospitals all over the country. They have an informative website and I would encourage you to check them out. its http://WWW.GirlsLoveMail.com.  

 THINGS TO BRING

several pieces of card stock to use for your cards  that will fit into a 4.75 by 6.5 envelope. You don't need to bring any envelopes as they are mailed in bulk.

colored pencils, markers, etc.

The organization mails the cards and letters in bulk and as a result, weight matters, So we need to keep our cards a bit more one dimensional and lighter in weight.

They also ask that we write at least 4 lines of hand written text. though we can still use stamps with encouraging words, our cards need to be more personal. There are examples of things to say in case you are a little stumped on the website.

At the end of our meeting I will take our cards and mail them to the headquarters in California where they will then be distributed. around  the country. I hope even though this meeting is a bit different than our usual lighthearted get together, that we all can make an effort to attend so we can be a blessing to these ladies and have fun doing it!!

It will be “different “ embossing folders. I have a geisha girl, playing card, koi fish, mice, mustaches, and others. If everyone can also bring their different folders, we can have an evening of fun sharing folders. Everyone should bring their own card stock, cut and ready to go. Bring your own big shot or cuttlebug, if you have one, would be appreciated.

I have no one scheduled to do a demonstration so I thought that Easter cards would be good. We will have a play night.

You will need to bring spring colored card stock. Also bring an appropriate stamp, die and some embellishments.

I will show you several ways to make cards using decorative paper napkins. In addition to your usual supplies, please bring white cardstock and a paper cutter. I will bring plenty of napkins for you to try these techniques.

You will need:

Complementary colors of cardstock.

CS 5 1/4 x 4 1/4 for back of card.

CS 4 x 5 for top of card.

White CS 4 1/2 x 3 3/8.

Washi tape that matches one of your colors. I'll bring my stash.

Ink for your butterfly needs to be dark because the second butterfly will be stamped off first.

Either small dimensionals or the strip dimensionals. The strips work best. I have a package so I will be glad to sell you a strip(9") for a quarter.

I will bring white scraps for flower and small butterflies. If you have light green scraps bring for leaves.
I will bring my ink spots so there will be a variety of colors.
Bring basic stamping kit.

A2 card. Size 4 5/8" x 5 3/4"

white card stock

3 1/2” X 2 1/2”

2 1/2” x 2 1/2”

light blue cardstock

3 1/2” x 3 3/4”

dark blue cardstock

3 1/2” x 3 3/4”

1 1/8” x 1 1/2”

ink pads: medium or light blue and darker blue as contrast

colored pencils

adhesive: beacons 3 in 1 (recommended) available at Michaels, or Aleens

clear gel tacky glue, available at Walmart.

Lynn is doing a winter scene.

You will need:

White card stock - 4.25" x 11"

White card stock- 4" x 5" 

Green card stock - 4.25" x 5.5"

Green ribbon - about 12"

Scrap card stock for stamped sentiment, if desired

Used dryer sheet

Green stamp pad (for trees)

Blue stamp pad (for snowflakes if you'd like to include)
